The sky was dark and heavy, the waves crashing like thunder against the sides of our small boat. I gripped the railing tightly, my heart pounding as the wind howled around us. “Are you sure this storm will pass soon?” I shouted over the roar, but all I got was silence. Deep down, I knew we were in serious trouble.
As the lifeboat drifted away from the sinking ship, I stared into the endless gray sea, my hands trembling. Would anyone survive this nightmare? Would I ever see my family again? The cold bit into my skin, but it was the fear and uncertainty that truly froze me. Only time would tell if this disaster at sea would be our last.
