• the cafe worker opening up the shop, cleaning the tables and getting the coffee machine ready

I can hear… 

• the sound of car engines as people leave their driveways
• children chatting and laughing at the bus stop, excited for school
• trucks beeping as they back up, and the noise of traffic going by

I can smell… 

• the rich smell of freshly brewed coffee from the cafe
• the crisp, earthy scent of wet leaves and grass
• faint smells of car exhaust and gasoline
• the comforting smell of baked goods from the neighbourhood bakery  

The busy, energetic atmosphere of the Monday morning in my neighbourhood makes me feel productive. Even though it can seem a bit hectic, there’s a sense of everyone being in it together, all working towards their own goals. The lively scene leaves me feeling motivated and ready to tackle my own tasks for the day.
