In these two photos, we can see young people helping improve the community. 1) Both of the activities are taking place outdoors. The girls in the first picture seem to be involved in a beach clean-up day, 2) while the men in the second picture are building what looks to be a small house. It could be a shelter for the homeless, or a house for people who have lost their home in a natural disaster. What the pictures have in 3) common is that they show volunteer activities. 4) However, picking litter from the beach litter from the beach seems a less physically demanding activity. Judging by the girls’ smiles, it looks like a more enjoyable activity 5) as well. 6) In contrast, constructing a house requires hard physical labour and it 7) also takes much more time to build a house than to clean a beach.
